Overview

With an area of around 28 hectares, Kai Tak Sports Park will provide a wide variety of sports venues, not only for major events but also for daily enjoyment by the community. A total of 15 units of 350kVA SSME gensets, split into 3 groups, are being used for the electrical power provision for the tower cranes, site office, site restaurants,lighting, etc. Project commenced in 2019 and will complete in 2023.

Plastic recycling plants usually have difficulties in applying main electricity quickly due to the remote location of their plants, SSME can do them a favor with its modular design feature for easy transporation. It also allows connection up to 30 units of 350kVA gensets together, with total capacity equivalent to 7 units of 1,500kVA transformer. Recycling plants also have a high demand of the reliability and stability of the electricity supply to ensure their productivity and quality. SSME can do that with zero downtime on electricity provision even in the case of machine breakdown or routine maintenance since if one generator breaks down, another one picks up.

The SSME has deployed in Victoria Park as a reliable power supply and fuel saving solution for the booth exhibitors from 52nd to 54th HK Brands and Products Expo. Five units of gensets were synchronised to provide electrical power for the heaters, lighting, A/V, and more. Gensets can automatically adjust power generation according to load changes so that fuel consumption can be significantly saved. At the same time the output of electricity will not be affected due to the redundancy.
